Skiing race
We will organize a skiing race, following the spirit of the founding fathers of the EURO-C conference series.
To ensure equal opportunities, the participant with the smallest difference in times between the two runs will be declared the winner of the giant slalom. The fastest skier will also be celebrated.
Equipment
If you do not have your personal skiing equipment with you, you may rent both skis and ski boots from a ski rental. For online pre-reservations with Schimeier, directly located at valley station of Gschwandtkopf, you will get a discount of 10 %. Please note that the ticket for the ski lift has to be bought by yourself.
Location and Time
The valley station of Gschwandtkopf is located directly behind the conference venue.
The skiing race will take place on the slope “Brunnental”. The fastest way to reach the race is by taking the platter lift “Happy Schleppi” and then transferring to T-bar lift “Brunnental”.
We kindly ask all participants to gather at the starting area – mountain station of “Brunnental” – at 13:45, at the latest, in order to obtain the starting numbers and to ensure that the skiing race can start on time.
Awards Ceremony
The Awards Ceremony will take place at 16:15 at the Restaurant Sportalm next to the valley station of Gschwandtkopf. This allows participants of the skiing race to continue skiing until the ski lifts close.
Outdoor alpine-style curling (CANCELLED)
Unfortunately, outdoor alpine-style curling is not possible due to warm temperatures and the early closure of the ice rink. The alternative event will be indoor bowling.
Bowling
Equipment
Please wear sport shoes or comfortable shoes.
Location and Time
The bowling event will take place at the Sportpub at Hotel Alpenpark Resort Seefeld (Speckbacherstraße 182, Seefeld in Tirol), approximately a 15-minutes-walk from the conference venue.
The event will start at 15:00. Please arrive in time to ensure a smooth start.
Participants will be divided into four groups competing against each other.
Awards Ceremony
The event will conclude with an Awards Ceremony at approximately 17:00.
